Miss Vicki

Miss Vicki, a former teacher, is the owner and educational director of My Happy Place Daycare. Miss Vicki attended Queens College and received her Masters Degree in Special Education. She maintains a New York Certification in teaching from birth through grade 6. Miss Vicki has taught Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and First Grade, having spent a total of 8 years within the classroom. Her love for the little ones, coupled with her desire to spend more time teaching through play and hands-on activities, inspired her to open up her own daycare. Her teaching philosophy revolves around providing children of all ages with a warm and fun environment. Also, she believes that children learn best when a variety of meaningful experiences are provided and they are given the opportunity to be actively involved in their learning. Miss Vicki understands the importance of giving choices and teaching students how to take responsibility for their choices. She truly believes that all kiddies social, emotional, and educational learning should happen with a smile on their face!

Miss Donna

Miss Donna, a mother of two, has always had a love for children. After working many years behind a desk, she decided to move on to pursue her passion for children. Miss Donna became a full time nanny, caring for children between the ages of 2 months old all the way through 6 years old. Now, Miss Donna is the lead caregiver Owner and Executive Director at My Happy Place Daycare! She employs all of the characteristics that children and parents love. She is caring, patient, creative, and kind. Miss Donna’s warm personality and giant heart make for the perfect combination to help children of all ages prosper and grow.

Mr. Chris

Mr. Chris, Co-Owner of My Happy Place Daycare is CPR,AED and First Aid certified and has coached kiddies in a variety of recreational activities throughout his career. Mr. Chris has over 7 years of experience working in a Gym Fitness Center. His goals for My Happy Place Daycare will be geared towards helping children build creativity, confidence and lifelong friendships. Mr. Chris will support young children learn as they grow and develop through play. His goal is to teach children to interact with one another while using hands on experiences. Mr. Chris’s teaching philosophy is based on the belief that play is the main way children learn and develop ideas about the world. It helps them build the skills necessary for critical thinking and leadership. It’s how they learn to solve problems and to feel good about their ability to learn.
