Our year-round Day Care program runs Monday through Friday. We also provide the “Early Bird” drop off and “Late Owl pick up services to meet our parent's needs. Our year round general programs were developed to nurture and educate infants through 4 year olds. Our specialty programs have been created to inspire and spark individual children's interests.
Infant/Toddler Program: 6 weeks to 1 year old
Here at My Happy Place Daycare, every infant has a unique routine for eating, sleeping, and playing. We believe that parents and caregivers should establish a personalized plan that is continually updated to meet individual needs. Growth and developmental milestones are shared with parents and recorded on a daily basis. Our room is filled with books, blocks, and toys to encourage discovery and awareness.
Each child has a personal crib, providing a sense of familiarity and comfort. Infants are encouraged to reach, grasp, kick, hold, pull, crawl, and stand. We also provide many cognitive experiences for your infant. Caregivers model social language skills such as “please,” “thank you,” and “good job” so infants become familiar with language and sound. Whatever activities engage a child, caregivers promote with positive reinforcement. They expand on each experience at school using rich vocabulary, strong connections, and consistent care.
Our Infant Safari Room will provide a personal, warm, loving clean, and healthy environment. The small child to teacher ratio in our program will allow for plenty of one-to-one interaction.
Toddler Program: 2 to 3 years old
Our toddler curriculum is based on the belief that children learn best through active and engaging sensory experiences. Here at My Happy Place Daycare we encourage our toddlers to walk, climb, and explore through a variety of activities throughout the day. We focus on a toddler’s growth, self-esteem, and natural curiosity. We encourage children to develop unique skills, interests, and strengths. Our program allows our
kiddies to explore and discover while supporting their growing independence.
Our educational approach allows lots of direct, hands-on experiences with people, objects, and events. We provide endless opportunities for toddlers to learn and play in an inviting, age-appropriate, and safe environment. Toddlers will develop a variety of skills, including physical, language, social-emotional, cognitive, self-help, and gross and fine motor. These skills are integrated through music, art, table toys, movement, games, puzzles, and books. Our kiddies will also be exposed to letters, numbers, shapes and sight words.
Preschool Program: 4 years old
Four-year-olds are full of wonder and adventure. This is an exciting time for these young learners, who are changing physically, cognitively, socially, and emotionally. The focus of My Happy Places Preschool Program is to give children the opportunity to learn through play in a loving, nurturing environment. Here at My Happy Place, our days are filled with busy explorations, investigations, and discoveries.
We will focus on the development of language, math, and science, which is emphasized through whole-group work and encouraged during center time. Also, we will include thematic units that are developed to encourage children to investigate new skills and ideas. Our kiddies will demonstrate an emerging love of reading and writing, using growing literacy skills during read-alouds, shared readings, reading and writing centers.
