Miss Vicki, Owner and Educational Director of My Happy Place Daycare, is a passionate educator with a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Queens College and a New York State Teaching Certification for Birth through Grade 6. With eight years of classroom experience teaching Pre-K, Kindergarten, and First Grade, Miss Vicki brings a wealth of knowledge, creativity, and heart to her work with young children.

Her love for early childhood education and her commitment to hands-on, play-based learning inspired her to open My Happy Place Daycare. Miss Vicki’s teaching philosophy centers on creating a nurturing, engaging, and joyful environment where children of all ages can thrive. She believes children learn best through meaningful, interactive experiences and by being active participants in their own learning journey.

At the core of her approach is the belief in giving children choices and helping them understand responsibility—fostering independence, confidence, and self-awareness. Above all, Miss Vicki is dedicated to making sure every child grows socially, emotionally, and academically—with a smile on their face!

Miss Donna, Owner and Executive Director of My Happy Place Daycare, is a proud mother of two with a lifelong passion for working with children. After many years in the corporate world, she followed her heart and transitioned into early childhood care, becoming a full-time nanny to children ranging in age from 2 months to 6 years old.

With years of hands-on experience and a natural gift for nurturing young minds, Miss Donna now leads the team at My Happy Place Daycare as the Lead Caregiver. She is known for her caring nature, patience, creativity, and kindness—qualities that both children and parents deeply appreciate. Her warm personality and genuine love for children create a nurturing environment where little ones can thrive, grow, and feel right at home.

Mr. Chris, Co-Owner of My Happy Place Daycare, is certified in CPR, AED, and First Aid. With over fifteen years of experience working in a gym and fitness center, Mr. Chris has coached young children in a wide range of recreational activities. His passion lies in helping children build creativity, confidence, and meaningful friendships.

At My Happy Place Daycare, Mr. Chris is committed to supporting children as they grow and learn through hands-on, play-based experiences. He believes that play is the foundation of early childhood learning—it fosters curiosity, encourages problem-solving, and builds the groundwork for leadership and critical thinking skills. His approach is centered on creating a nurturing environment where children feel empowered, supported, and excited to explore the world around them.
